I’m so sorry for your loss of a wonderful young man. Daniel always helped my family and I with anything we needed at Modern. He was the best. I didn’t know about your loss till I asked for Daniel by name because I immediately noticed my friend was missing.  He was a great guy! I’m sorry.

Gone from My Sight

       Henry van Dyke

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,

spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts

for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.

I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck

of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says, 'There, she is gone'

Gone where?

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,

hull and spar as she was when she left my side.

And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me - not in her.

And, just at the moment when someone says, 'There, she is gone,'

there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices

ready to take up the glad shout, 'Here she comes!'

And that is dying...

Death comes in its own time, in its own way.

Death is as unique as the individual experiencing it.

Papa there are no words I can say but just I will miss you forever. Mi amor you were a trouble soul that needed help but wanted to help everyone except yourself I know your love for me was immense but your demons were bigger. I just can't stop thinking of what I could have done to prevent this tragedy I blame myself in so many ways. I don't know how I will go on but I have to because you would want me to for your nephew and your brother but please Papa come in my dreams to let me know you are happy and with Abuela and Utri we also send him to be with you. Mi amor if I failed you please forgive me until we meet again you Mom

Danny was my neighbor and well respected in our townhouse community. I first met Danny a few years ago when he graciously brought food to my home that was delivered to his house by mistake. He was always very friendly, polite and a pleasant presence in the neighborhood. I pray for God’s peace and comfort for your family during this unbelievable loss.

My condolences to Daniel's family. I first met Daniel when he first moved in to the townhome a few years ago, we are Danny's next door neighbor, he was very friendly.
