Daniel's obituary
Daniel Henry CALKINS, JD passed away January 8, 2026 in Hospice near his home in N. Palm Beach, FL after an extended illness. Dan was born February 13, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan, to Marie Nella (Van Bree) Calkins and Henry Joseph Calkins. He spent his career working in Trust Departments of several banks in Kalamazoo, Jackson, Birmingham, and Detroit, MI and Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He used much of his free time researching, planning and completing trips with Nan that would reinforce his studies. Dan volunteered his time and expertise over the years, with his tenure on the Board of Directors at MacArthur Beach State Park being his favorite. He will be interred at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Palm Beach Gardens, FL in February. No services are planned at this time.
