Daniel's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Chief Petty Officer Daniel Kelley, who passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024. Born on April 5, 1965, Daniel lived a rich and meaningful life, marked with many accomplishments and filled with love.
The epitome of courage and strength, Daniel had an infectious humor that could light up any room and a sarcastic wit that never failed to bring smiles on the faces of those around him. His compassionate and strong-willed nature was admired by all who knew him, and these traits played a significant role in shaping the person he was.
One of Daniel's most memorable lessons that he instilled in his loved ones is to never give up, no matter the circumstances. He was a living embodiment of this philosophy, evident in his remarkable accomplishments. He served with honor as a Chief Petty Officer and bravely put his life on the line for others as a firefighter.
But perhaps, his greatest legacy was the unconditional love, wisdom, compassion, and tenacity he left behind. Daniel was a devoted husband to his wife, Joanne Kelley, & father to his daughter, Amanda McDaniel(Zachary McDaniel), and two sons, Bryan Kelley and Branden Kelley. He was incredibly proud of them and loved them dearly. He was also a loving grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren, whose lives he touched with the same unconditional love and wisdom.
Daniel's spirit will live on in his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and the countless lives he touched throughout his lifetime. His humor, courage, and strong-will continue to inspire us. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Anchors Aweigh.
