Danny's obituary

Daniel Todd Breiner of Los Angeles, California, formerly of Chicago, Illinois and Scarborough, Maine.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Todd Breiner, 39, of Los Angeles, CA, who left us too soon on September 24th, 2025.  He is survived by his son, Bodie and wife, Molly.

Danny was born on June 18th, 1986, and raised in Scarborough, Maine.  He was the cherished son of Debra and Robert Breiner and younger brother to Andrew Breiner.  Over the years Danny enjoyed family trips to the beach, hikes and camping in the mountains, playing baseball and golf, and coaching youth sports.

Danny attended Scarborough High School where he excelled academically, athletically and socially.  He graduated from the University of Richmond in 2008 and pursued a career in digital marketing which took him from New Jersey to Chicago and eventually to Los Angeles.

He is deeply missed by Bodie, Molly, Debby, Andy, and a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends with whom he shared a special bond.  He will be remembered for his magnetic personality, sharp sense of humor, dynamic energy, and kind nature.

Being a father to Bodie was the greatest honor of Danny’s life and he loved every minute they spent together.  From trips to Mexico to summers on the lake in Wisconsin or weekends at Big Bear and holidays on the East Coast, Danny loved to do it all with Bodie.   Danny became an avid Lego builder, Beyblade battler, and youth soccer aficionado because it meant spending time with his best buddy.  Danny was endlessly proud of Bodie.

Danny’s perfect day would have included quiet time with Bodie and their dog, George, a round of golf with friends, watching a baseball game, an elaborate dinner with family and late-night mischief with his brother and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday October 26th at First Parish Church, 425 Congress Street in Portland Maine.
