Daniel's obituary

In Loving Memory of Daniel

August 11, 2023 – June 2, 2025

Our hearts are broken as we share the passing of our beloved son, grandson, nephew, and cherished baby boy, Daniel, who left this world far too soon on June 2, 2025, at just 1 year and 9 months old. Though his time with us was brief, Daniel’s life was full of light, laughter, and a love that knew no bounds.

Daniel was the precious son of Alexandra and Joseph Brandt. From the moment he arrived on August 11, 2023, he brought indescribable joy and wonder into their lives. His bright eyes, infectious giggle, and tender spirit touched all who met him.

Daniel is deeply missed and forever loved by his grandparents, Joyce and Grant Brandt who treasured every moment with him.

He is also survived by his loving aunts and uncles, including Aunt Madison and her husband Michael, who adored their sweet nephew and shared in many joyful memories with him. Daniel brought warmth and happiness to every family gathering and will be remembered always as the heart of those treasured moments. He is also remembered by his cousins Laurie, Katie, Thomas, and their parent Malcolm and Tiffany who all held a special place in their hearts for Daniel.

Though Daniel’s time here was short, his impact was profound. He lived a life surrounded by love—cradled, protected, and celebrated every day. His laughter filled rooms, his smile brightened the darkest moments, and his gentle soul reminded us of the purity and wonder of life.

A private service to honor Daniel’s life will be held with his closest family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Daniel’s memory to OHSU’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital to support other families and children in need of care and hope.

Daniel, you will always be our brightest light, our sweetest joy.

We will carry your memory in our hearts forever.
