Daniel's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel Baumann, an exemplary family man, over the road truck driver said to have logged over 3 million miles, a lover of country music, western movies and raspberry danish, who was fondly known for his love for spending quality time with his family. Daniel was born on February 2, 1937, and transitioned peacefully on December 26, 2023.
Daniel is survived by his loving partner, Donna Greene, and his cherished children; daughters Denise (Dan) Becker, Lorraine (Martin) Standke, and Maryann (Jerry) Griep, as well as his son, Larry (Ruth) Baumann. His legacy lives on in them and his beloved grandchildren; Chad Sr. (Becki) Baumann, James (Jonalyn) Miller, Kristine Miller, Mickel (Jace) Scharpnick, Jamie (Matt) Barthle, Michael Griep, Bradley Griep, Terry Griep , Matt Standke, and Zachary Standke, and many great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his ex-wife Elizabeth Baumann, his son Daniel Ross Baumann, and his daughter-in-law Linda Baumann. Their memories remain etched in our hearts and minds.
Daniel's life was a testament to the beauty that lies in simplicity. A fan of country music, he would often be found humming along to his favorite tunes. His love for Western movies was well-known, providing hours of joy in his life. His favorite food, raspberry danish, was a part of many family memories and gatherings. Above all, Daniel valued time spent with his family, cherishing every moment they spent together. His love and devotion to his family will forever be remembered.
As we bid farewell to Daniel, we also celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends but his spirit will continue to live on in our hearts.
