Daniel's obituary
Obituary
Daniel Walter Barth, 89 years of age, and a resident of Berea, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Generations Assisted Living in Berea, following a full and meaningful life.
He was born December 2, 1932, in Youngstown, Ohio and lived there till going to bible college in PA. He moved back to Ohio in 1964 to Brewster and eventually made it up to Vermilion in 1974 where he resided.
Daniel was employed in the Lord’s work as a pastor for nine different churches in four different states. His final pastorship was with the Vermilion Assembly of God. Outside of work, he loved to tinker on his car or on anything else and loved to garden. He was a jack of all trades and knew how to fix just a little bit of everything. After retirement, Daniel worked as a baker. However, his greatest joy in life was being a husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered as a jokester, a loving father and husband, but most importantly as a devoted man of God and a giant man of faith.
Survivors include his sons, Daniel P. (Judy) Barth of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mark R. (Marsha) Barth of Olmsted Falls, Ohio and Debra Barth-Meir (William) of Vermilion; his five grandchildren; Elizabeth, Lauren, Delisia, Kyanna, and Aleigha; his five great grandchildren; Riley, Natalie, Everly, Ivy, Aspen and his brothers, Samuel and Paul.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-three years Joanna Barth (nee: Yuhas); his grandson Jonathan Barth in 2005; his brothers, David, Richard, and John; and his parents Paul and Ethel Barth (nee: Regal).
Friends may call Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 5-7p.m. till the time of service at 7 p.m. at Hempel Funeral Home in Amherst. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com .
