Dana's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dana Smith, a man of kindness and generosity, on November 10, 2024. Dana was born on October 6, 1957. His spirit will always live in our hearts and his legacy of kindness will continue to inspire and guide us.
After graduating from Southeast of Saline Unified School District 306, KS in 1975, Dana immediately enlisted in the Navy. This dedication to service exemplifies Dana's selfless nature and his commitment to the betterment of others. His big heart led him to help others as much as he could, a trait that defined his life and will remain his enduring legacy.
Dana was predeceased by his father, Gerald Smith, and his mother, Geraldine Smith. He is survived by his sister, Sandra Isaacson, niece Nicole Isaacson, nephew Casey Isaacson and 3 great nieces and 5 great nephews that he adored greatly. Dana's memories will be forever cherished by Sandra, his extended family, and his multitude of friends who deeply mourn his loss. His benevolent spirit, earnestness, and jovial nature made him a beacon of light in every life he touched.
As we bid Dana farewell, we also honor him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to warm our hearts and inspire us to live our lives in service of others, just as Dana did.
