I only spent a couple days with Dana completing  an engineering survey of a couple hospitals. I  enjoy the time we had together. Dana you were an honest person that only wanted to do good for your hospital. You treated people with respect and kindness. You are friend. I will miss you.

I would love to be part of your service. That’s what friends do. Goodbye my friend

HI, I'm Janet Howard and I worked with Dana for years and years and was his liaison from Practice Greenhealth for a lot of them. I don't even want to write this note and avoided it but I know I have to. I loved the obituary - so beautiful and full of love and joy. I had messaged Dana on Instagram when he posted about the hot air balloons - looked like so much fun. I love how he reported on all of his historic sites and nature walks, including the trash he collected. Dana was a good person doing important work and he made a difference on this planet - he truly did - what an amazing legacy. My heart goes out to his friends and family and I wish you all to know how much he was admired in the health care sustainability sector and what a difference he made in the health care sustainability movement. Not only was he a leader but he was kind and fun.  He spoke of his family :) Sending love and deep condolences, Janet Howard, Amherst, MA.
Oh, I am so sorry to hear this heartbreaking news of Dana’s sudden death. What a truly great big heart he had - for his family - for his animals - for the environment. He truly made this world a better place. I loved his silly Instagram posts. May Dana’s infectious love for life inspire us all. Thank you for this beautiful tribute to him. Sending the family peace and love. 🙏💕
Dana was a good, good man. We worked together on the sustainability team at Amery hospital and I loved his knowledge and commitment to the environment. He made us better. Can’t believe he’s gone. RIP, Dana.
I worked in well being at HealthPartners and Dana and Allison were partners; eating more plants and sustainability go hand in hand! Such a driving force to be better stewards for our natural environment. RIP Dana
I’m so sad to hear this news and I am truly sorry for your loss. I worked with Dana for years at HP and he was a wonderful guy and genuinely dedicated to making the world a better place. RIP Dana ♥️
What beautiful words for such a good guy. I grew up in Hinsdale and went to school with both the boys. Their mom was my mentor and friend. Every visit to their house was filled with laughs. My heart goes out to you all.

I met Dana in 1995 while working as environmental consultants and we quickly became close friends and stayed close friends.  I can’t even count the number great outings and memories that he contributed to my life, biking around Madeline Island, hiking outside Asheville, NC, kayaking the Brule River, skiing the back bowls at Copper, entertaining texts and phone calls and of course sampling all the IPAs.  His sense of humor was unmatched.  He was a true friend.  I will miss him.
Dana was one of those people who, even if he had not done such amazing work to promote the health of the Earth that he loved, made the world a better place just by being in it to spread his energy, joy, and enthusiasm to all the people he met.  What an incredible man.
