Enjoying MN United, Dana love…

Enjoying MN United, Dana loved the soccer (football) — with Dana, John Evans and Brian Brosdahl
I was saddened to hear of Dana’s passing. He was a kind, caring, wonderful man.  I hold his family in my thoughts and prayers 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I just heard about Dana's passing and am so shocked and saddened to hear about it.  Dana's influence got me concerned about the environment.  My favorite story was when I was in NYC picking up trash in central park.  I had to send him a FaceBook message to tell him he got in my head and now I was picking up trash in NYC when I'd have normally passed by it.  That made him happy.  May you find continued comfort in the many good memories.   He was an amazing man and I'm a better person for having worked him.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dana’s passing. I worked with him through HealthPartners and admired his passion for his work and his great sense of humor. My heart goes out to all of his family.
Dana and I were often placed together on panels of sustainability staff. Both of us started sustainability programs for organizations when these programs were rare.  Later when I joined health care, he was a trusted colleague who freely shared best practices and advice with me and with others in the field.  He was passionate about the environment and had the ability to get things done.   He will be missed!

I was a friend of Dana's from his HealthPartner days. I was on the sustainability team at Lakeview Hopital. We worked hard as a team to win the highest award at Clean Med, and Dana was so proud, as I was. I will miss his friendship on Facebook. I truly admired him and send love to his wife and daughters. I will keep you in my prayers at this time of grief.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dana was one of the kindest, big hearted, funniest people I’ve ever known. He made a huge impact on the world and everyone he touched. Much love to all of you. I will never forget him.

To the Slade family, on behalf of the sustainability community in the Twin Cities we are so sorry for your loss.  This was a great tribute to Dana.  He was truly a great person and I hope that you find comfort that he was the rock thrown into the pond that made ripples for a long time.

His work in the sustainability space will live on through all of us that work in the field.

Amazing colleague and mentor. PHS was so fortunate that Dana opted to join us.

My all time favorite quote which I will carry with me 'if you are going to make an omelet,  you'll need to crack some eggs'.  We will continue your work.

I was lucky to have shared so many wonderful outings and adventures with Dana over the 30 years that I knew him. One outing stands out for me as an example of Dana's determination to have fun. Brian Brosdahl and I threw Dana a bachelor's kayaking trip on the Brule River. Despite breaking his finger a couple of days before in a wood stacking accident, Dana hopped in the kayaks with us and set off downstream. We all capsized within 5 minutes and the splint on Dana's finger washed downstream. Undaunted, we splinted Dana's finger with a stick and duct tape and carried on and another great weekend together. I'll miss him tremendously but am so happy to have so many wonderful memories of him!

I am so very saddened to hear of Dana's passing. I collaborated with Dana over the years on the Health Care Climate Council and several Practice Greenhealth groups. Dana always brought a positive energy to our meetings, and tons of expertise, too. He was real and caring and kind. He is already missed and will be remembered fondly for his many contributions to the world, above all that generous spirit. Many blessings to his loved ones.
So sorry to hear this untimely news.  Dana was a good professional friend in Minneapolis.  My best wishes to his family

I didn’t work at PHS long, but Dana was definitely a person who embodied kindness, integrity, and humor. He was the most welcoming and loved to chat with me about anything relating to sustainability and answer any question I had. He was definitely a good one, and he will be missed by many.

I'm sorry for your loss. Dana was always smiling, and he was deeply passionate about his work at PHS and the renewal program. I am sending love and light in this challenging time.
