Dana's obituary

Dana Ann Rogers of Hilton Head, South Carolina died tragically on October 25th 2019 of an apparent drowning while swimming in the ocean. Dana was born January 16th, 1966 in Bronxville, New York to Diane (Aspinall Rogers) Parker and the late Dr. William E. Rogers (1920-2004). She was a bright, lively and beautiful young girl with a love of horses, skiing and being outdoors. She travelled extensively with her parents. She graduated from Brown University where she studied Communications. Following college, she moved to New York City, where she worked for the Museum of Radio and Television Information. She later moved to Colorado to work in the area of Public Relations. She then spent 20 years in Boulder where among other things she became an accomplished portrait photographer. Dana was a private person with a big and generous heart. She was active in the Special Olympics, The Referral Partnership, and Boulder Media Women and gave her time extensively to The Humane Society of Boulder.
Dana had recently moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina where she was engaged in art classes and other activities. She is survived by her mother, by her half-sisters, Laura, Alison and Theresa Rogers, and extended family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held in Boulder, Colorado in the Spring.
