Dan's obituary
In Loving Memory of Dan Turner
We reflect on the time shared with him, especially during his final days. For over a year, he fought with unwavering strength, spending his time in the hospital surrounded by love and support. The last week, particularly his final morning, remains etched in the hearts of those who truly cared for him. In those moments, he was made aware of what was happening, the choices being made for him—choices he did not want. He wanted to live, he wanted to keep fighting, and it is important for everyone to know that his wishes were fought for — not by those who should have cared most, but by those who refused to give up on him. Every effort was made to honor and respect him, and it was a hard battle.
Dan was a man of many passions and talents. As a journeyman wireman and an electrician, he dedicated himself to his craft with skill and precision. Beyond his profession, he was an avid quick-draw shooter in his day, always ready to showcase his sharp skills. His love for firearms extended to hunting trips and camping adventures, often accompanied by his best friend. These outdoor excursions were a testament to his adventurous spirit and zest for life. He also had a deep love for his dogs, Frank and Sabrina, who were his loyal companions and brought him endless joy.
We had talked about celebrating his 75th birthday in May, but sadly, he passed in March, just a few months before reaching that milestone.
He is deeply missed by those who truly knew him and cared for him. As his life is remembered, let us celebrate the rich and vibrant legacy he leaves behind.
