With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Dan Smith, born on August 17, 1968, who left us on November 6, 2023. Known for his wit, caring nature, determination, and no-nonsense attitude, Dan left an indelible imprint on all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Dan's life was marked by numerous accomplishments, but he held two particular achievements close to his heart - being a proud father of six beautiful children and the manifestation of his hard work in the form of impeccable decks that he built. He derived immense satisfaction from his craft, imparting not just the skill but also the love for building.

His legacy is distinctly represented by his love and his passion for fatherhood. For Dan, these two aspects represented a synthesis of livelihood, creativity, love, and dedication. Dan joins his daughter Nina in Heaven, and leaves behind his surviving children, Dan III, Alesha, Stephen, Joseph, and Victoria, his mother Kathy, father Dan Sr, and siblings Marcy, Brenda, and Russell . The Smith family thanks everyone for their support during this difficult time.
