I was so sorry to hear of Daniel's death when I bumped into some people at GAFCON 2023 who knew him and told me what had happened. I knew Daniel from his time at Glasgow University, and his faith and his walk with the Lord Jesus impacted me and still does today. He gave me a tape of his church group singing, and how I wish I still had that recording today! I still remember the songs "Man looks on the inside, but God looks at the heart" and "Count the cost, Pick up your Cross, Follow Him!" May God bless his family and those he loved and left behind. Well done, good and faithful servant. I look forward to seeing you again, my old freind, and maybe even one day meeting the wife that you prayed for long before you met her.

As I called him, Uncle Dan was a father, friend, and very dependable brother in the Lord. His famous greeting, "omusawo, okyalokoka" always made me re-examine my standing with the Lord and find appropriate words to reply. As we practiced, he always reminded us to sing with "akawoowo", open our mouths widely, and breathe through the stomach. When he sang, he did it with purpose and was very inspirational, distinctly pronouncing the words and diction was his thing. When we finished practice, he endeavored to take everyone to their door whether you protested or not, leaving me wondering when he would get back to Entebbe and praying that he reaches safely. If I had a challenge, he personally drove to my door even when I thought it was trivial. "oribulungi"? he would inquire on arrival. He surely will not be replaced and will remain a role model. fair thee well "Shwenkuru Uncle Dan" as my babies called him.

Dr. Dan taught me to be resilient and productive in the few interactions I had with him, he encouraged me to pursue my dreams, and not to forget agriculture.
His strong massage and genuine Love for God were compelling and was a great ambassador of hope. I promised to follow your guidance Dr. and I will continue to remember you, great dad.
I can only imagine the freshly oozing wounds in the hearts of the family members, but I surely know that God is above all comforting you every minute, and I pledge my continuous prayers.
God comfort you!
Ivan Bafakyi.

Dan was such a Determined and God loving person. On Christmas day Service, I sat right behind the Main Alter, In the Bishop Hannington Chapel. I could only think of one mans voice i couldn't pick from the choir on the other side. Dan just went away too soon. Rest in Eternity and keep singing with the Angels, AMEN.

We continue to condole with the family on the loss of our great friend Dr Semambo. Whereas he is gone, He continues to be very much in our lives and part of our work. He worked on a discipline several of us hold dear everyday, and that is livestock breeding. We continue to pray for his soul to rest in Eternity Forever in Peace, Amen.

Uncle Dan and I fondly referred to each other as 'best friend' and he loved up to the title in every sense of the word!! From the time I first spoke to him in 2015 at the commencement of our friendship to the unfortunate time of his passing, not once was he unavailable to help me whenever I needed his help. Everytime I had a journey that I couldn't take by public means, I didn't have to fret because I knew I could just call my best friend and he wouldn't hesitate but assure me or his coming, which he certainly did.
Uncle Dan was present to celebrate all the milestones I achieved from the time I met him and I looked forward to many more like him singing his famous wedding song 'God and God alone' at my wedding.
I'm comforted by the truth that Uncle Dan lived for the Lord and loved him wholeheartedly and now is in the safekeeping of this same Lord, having laid his trophies down and received the crown of life. Thank you Jesus for the hope of the perfect day of the resurrection on which I'll see uncle Dan again.
Nanjobe, Nakandi, Kirokwa, Nasejje, Nabisere, Nasozzi and Aunt Dora, thank you for sharing your magnanimous dad and husband with me and with the world and I trust that the God whom Uncle Dan loved and served will hold you fast until that day.
Best friend you will forever be in my heart. See you soon❤️

Dear Dan,
Thank you for loving us as you loved your own parents. We prayed that you would get out of that bed and come to Kabale and see us as you promised, but our heavenly father who loved you most called you home. Tuja kulokoka every day so as to meet you again! I know you have joined the Angels to sing for the Lord. Farewell our son, see you later.

My sincere condolences to Dora, the kids, the Joint Heirs family, relatives, and colleagues. I got to know Dr Semambo from my very close friend who was part of Joint Heirs when I got introduced to Dr, he loved me as a daughter, always prayed and encouraged me to stay strong in the Lord. He used to invited us to his home for fellowship and shared personal stories to encourage me to go through my trials. Dr Semambo' s encouraging words, personal stories he shared with me and his unending prayers made me go through the hardest time during my university life. I will always remember him for his kind and interesting stories he shared with me . Uganda has lost a true man of God. Rest in peace Dr Semambo, you forever be adored for a good and kind person.
