Damon “Tim” Timothy Knight, 56, passed away in his home on June 21st, 2020. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Nydia Knight, his brother, Chris, a wife, Margaret, three daughters, Amanda, Lindsey, and Sydney and numerous other friends and family members. Tim was raised in Independence and was a dedicated Eagle Scout growing up. He went to college at both MU and William Jewell. He met Margaret at Figlio’s Italian Restaurant on the Plaza where they both worked. They eventually moved to Colorado, where they started their family. Later, Tim and Margaret moved their family back to Independence and have lived there for the last 18 years. Tim was a customs broker by trade for nearly his entire professional career but his true joy was found in his family. He loved his daughters, nieces, and nephews and always tried to keep them connected. He also loved large gatherings, especially pool parties, where friends and family would all join together to enjoy good music, good food, and good company. His family rests in hope that he is wholly healed with the Father.
