Damon is one of my childhood friends (spanning more than 40 years time)!! It seems like only yesterday that we had our last “neighborhood football game” at the Brooks’!!

I hate that we always ended recent conversations with, “... I’m sorry we haven't been closer - and we should plan to get together soon...”

COVID-19 made any and all “get-togethers” - null and void.

So, I say to all that view this: Tomorrow is not promised - so, please live life for today (caveat: get the vaccination first)!!!

Damon: REST IN POWER!! I will see you again on the other side of The Dawn!!!

My prayers and condolences goes out to the King Family. Damon King, you were a down to earth real good brother. Gone too Soon! Thanks for the memories at Saint Augustine's University. Your Falcon Family will miss you during Homecoming. RIP Damon King✌🏾🌹🙏🏽🥰

He was a good guy. We didn't know each other long but we were cool. We were born the same year so that really brings it home to me that we won't be here forever. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest easy brotha.

Damon (also known as Moon) you will truly be missed. The mark you left in the music industry and Indy will forever be remembered. I am "Lady Ace" because of you and our days of rappin at Lawrence Central. A party...battle...talent show...or concert was lit because you were the light and life of the party with so much passion for Hip Hop. The lives you have touched are countless and memories will be forever. I will forever cherish that moment I saw you many years later after high school...this time at Salt of The Earth Church. We both we in shock and happy to see one another. My bestie asked..."You know him?"...I said, "Yes girl, we used to rap against each other in high school...That is the famous Mr. Moon!!!"....Rest In Heaven....Sincerely, Lady Ace

Rest in peace Damon. I remember spending time with your Mom while she was pregnant with your. Also tomes when you end Mom came to KY to visit. You were greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Sandy
