My brother and I were close but not super, see him every week close.  We didn't even talk once a week.  So I didn't think I would take his passing THIS hard.  To know that I'll never be able to pick up the phone and dial the same number he's had for decades and talk about absolutely nothing; to not be able to have him over for a random drink or just to talk crap to him about his infantile tastebuds.  No matter how close we were or weren't one thing he knew about me I was always 10 toes down ready to lay hands on anyone that tried to get at him. He was 10 years my senior but sometimes you'd think I was older with how protective I  could be. Damon do you remember the shenanigans at the Sharevari concert at Belle Isle and you had to tell me to calm down because dude was being disrespectful to you?  It's funny how you could be so layed back but tackled me quite a few times when me and Bro were about to physically fight. OMG the stories from the early Northfield days; the Nerf basketball hoop, Atari, teaching me how to play double dribble when I got my Nintendo and telling I had to blow the dust out of the cartridge when it wouldn't work, riding on the back of the bike, walking to Kronk.  Mom used to joke about having 3 boys instead of 2 because I always tried to keep up with y'all and you and Fred would let me.  I could go on and on with the memories.  Although it sucks that you're gone I'm glad I was able to spend just about everyday with you and holding your hand during your last days of your life's journey.  🥹🥺😭

My dad introduced me to him as Uncle Damon, I always enjoyed seeing him and talking with him even if it was just for a few minutes out the day.

I'm sad he's not here anymore with his family and friends. I know he is watching over all of us in heaven. I will miss you uncle Damon.

Almost everytime we hung out it was always something unforgettable. From infamous $2 dance to talking with David Justice about his relationship with of all people Haley Berry. Always a good time. You will be truly missed and my life has changed forever without. Brother I miss you already.
You know how your parents have friends and they tell you certain friends are uncles/aunts?! Yea Uncle Damon was that friend to my father, Cottrel. Anytime I saw him or talked to him it was nothing but laughter, and I couldn’t help but to feel safe. Uncle Damon gave the best hugs in the world and no one can tell me otherwise! He will be missed♥️🙏🏾

My deepest condolences to the Family.. it has always been love on our Block. 🙏🏽

Stacey and The Richardson Family

My deepest condolences to the family. The memories will live forever that we had. Just the laughs and games we would play. Damon you were definitely my funniest headache but I wouldn’t change those times for anything. Thank you Damon for those moments ❤️🦋
