Vanessa recently shared this pic. This was one of The last earthly visits Gary had with Dale. Rest high, cuz, you are missed and know you are pain free now.

Dale loved horseshoes and would order one most often when he and Gary would have their weekly lunches.
Dale taught me that there is no such thing as a step relationship in our family. That we are all family brothers and sisters, Mom and Dad, blood or not. He choose to love me when I was just 12 years old and I am grateful that I had the chance to know such a great person. I put him through the ringer when I was a teenager, but he loved me no matter what.

He taught my kids so many things including what he wasn't supposed to...how to jump in the mud puddles (even if they were in new shoes "You have to break them in the right way" he would say), how to shoot straw papers at each other in a restaurant (and sometimes other people they didn't know), how to get the soda to the top of your straw when not drinking from it, the right way to eat Oreos and milk, many many shop words, his love of ice cream and milkshakes, and when it is break time from working it always involves a treat.

There are so many more things that he taught my kids and me, but I would have to write a book to include them all. Even though I could fill a book there are still so many things that he knew that our entire family could have learned from him. He was able to do anything that needed done and it always turned out perfect. For anyone that truly knew him and was around they got to learn from him and laugh with him. Those that knew him well usually got told they were number 1 and we will miss it.

A great Husband, Dad and Grandfather who will be missed but we know he will be looking over us all and protecting us from above.

Dale was such a special guy. Always a big hug and smile. He was a great friend and coworker to my husband Leonard that has also passed. Hope they are having lots of laughs together. Hugs to you Diane.
