Dale Sheldon Thorne, 49 years old of Richmond Hill, NY passed away on August, 2nd 2025 due to health complications.

Dale was born December 22, 1975 in Guyana, the son of Lynette Thorne.

Dale graduated from Richmond Hill High School in Richmond Hill, N.Y. in 1994 where he was a member of the Cross Country and Basketball teams.

Dale worked EVERYWHERE! But he was mostly known for doing Security at The Tavern Lounge in Queens, and most recently Security with Gavonite Securities.

Dale especially loved darts, dancehall, knives, camouflage, his special homemade hot pepper sauce, and anything computers (as long as it wasn’t a “crAPPLE).

Dale was a Member of Brooklyn Queensborough Elks Lodge #878

Dale was also known as Dapa Don, Don Dodda Yagga Yo, and Super Dale.

Remaining to cherish Dales memory is his daughter Cheyenne Higgs.

Preceding Dale in death is his mother Lynette Thorne.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 2nd at 2pm at Austin’s Ale House, Kew Gardens, NY.
