Dale's obituary
Dale Stringfellow, a loving father, adored grandfather, best friend, and avid fisherman, passed away February 29, 2024 from pancreatic cancer.
Dale was born November 15, 1950 in Hanover, New Hampshire. After graduating from Tarpon Springs High School in 1969, he pursued a life in the United States Coast Guard as a Machinery Technician stationed in Clearwater, Florida. After ten years of service and an honorable discharge, Dale relocated to Texas and began a new life. Dale was a proud father of two sons, Dale Scott Jr. and Joe Ryan. He was the proud and adored grandfather of 5 grandchildren who will miss him terribly: Wyatt, Westin, Wade, Emerson, and Parker. Dale was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else, something he often mentioned. Dale was a passionate woodworker who often built rustic home accents and furniture for his small business, Something Special by Rustic Designs, which he owned and operated with his long time friend Robin Huber. Dale was fortunate enough to make a living doing something he loved, and in his own words, "not a day went by that felt like work." Spanning the Texas/ Louisiana Gulf coast and up to Dallas, Dale was an outside sales rep specializing in marine supplies and made many strong connections with his customers, who later became close friends. Anyone who knew Dale knew that he was a determined and loyal man who never let the struggles of life hinder his ability to show up for those who needed him most. Dale is preceded in death by his brother, John Stringfellow, and his daughter-in-law, Jackie Savoie. He is survived by his son, Scott, his wife, Shirri Stringfellow, and their three sons. Son, Joe Savoie; and his two children. Brother Gary Stringfellow, Jack Stringfellow and his wife Danette Stringfellow; and his sister Sally Ferrell and her husband, Chuck Ferrell.
