Dale's obituary

In memory of, Dale Kestel, who passed away on November 15, 2022. He was loved by his children Shiloh, Jordan, and Micah, along with his partner of 26 years Susan, and her two sons Vincent and Victor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Throughout high school, college, and for the rest of his life, Dale was a driven athlete, even qualifying for the Olympic wrestling team. He was motivated on a level many will never know; this persistence carried over from sports into all aspects of his life. Even more valuable was his ability to encourage this drive in others, displayed in his coaching at San Jose State, the 1984 Olympic wrestling team, along with skiing, soccer, baseball, and roller hockey teams for his children and stepchildren. His athleticism and drive carried through till the end; skiing and snowboarding till the very day of his passing.

One of the most social souls on this planet, our father was an outgoing and passionate man, who ensured that all of life's moments were enjoyed to the fullest. He was the life of every party, and his presence never went unnoticed. His mission was to infuse this celebration into everyone's lives, even if they didn't know it.

The celebration of life will be held at the Denver Distillery in Denver, Colorado on December 3rd at 4pm mountain time. Dad, we know that nothing would make you happier than to have a final party, bringing together everyone you cared for. You will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
