I remember being invited to Raccoon lake by Dale and his family to spend some time at the lake, enjoying the beach, and fresh weather one more time before the cool autumn came along. That day Dale and I spoke for hours telling me about his childhood, how fatherhood has been for him,  stories about his children might be embarrassed about, but always spoken in good will. 

He was such an inviting, friendly, funny, and sincere person I have had the pleasure of getting to know. When it comes to my family, I have to say I am eternally grateful for the father figure he provided to my little brother Daniel. He was an honest man and went above and beyond what was necessary and I like to think the reason my brother has become the young man he is, is due in part to Dale being there and opening his home and heart to him. We have been so blessed and fortunate to have the not only Dale but the Denman family in our lives. May these hard times pass quickly and may we always remember the good memories.
