Dale's obituary
Dale Cooper, 65, of Prineville, passed away November 23, 2023, in Nashville, TN. He was born Dale Winn Cooper in Nampa, ID on January 9, 1958. He was the second child to Thomas Cooper of Hagerman, ID and Eleanor Stewart of Caldwell, ID.
Dale graduated from Nampa High School in 1976. After graduating he worked as a ranch hand and manager of several ranches in Idaho and Central Oregon. During this time, he met Katherine Williams and married November 13, 1982, in Saint Maries, ID. In the mid- 90's, he left ranching and ventured into construction, specializing in custom new home builds. Dale left construction in 2012 and returned to managing a ranch in Sisters.
When not at work, Dale could be found enjoying the beauty of Central Oregon and all it has to offer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an active member at the Redmond Gun Club shooting skeet and trap. These hobbies allowed him to connect with the world around him and provided him with a sense of peace.
Dale is survived by his wife, Kathy of 40 years, and their children, daughter Cheri Williams and David Hayre of Prineville, son Jake and Maggie of Condon, OR, daughter Amanda and Josh Boen of San Diego, CA, son Thomas and Kathleen of Williamsburg, VA, and son Tyrel of Fruitland, ID. He was a grandfather to 8 grandkids and one great-grandbaby. He is also survived by his parents and siblings, brother, Richard and Sharon Cooper of Moses Lake, WA, sister Cindy Ormsby of Hagerman, ID, brother Kenny Cooper of Nampa, ID, sister Marianne and Bill Upton of Reedville, VA, brother Don and Lee Cooper of Cave City, KY, sister Jennifer and Jeff Bramblet of Reedville, VA, brother Scott and Robyn Cooper of Camp Verde, AZ and a half-brother Paul Cooper of Nampa, ID.
Dale's remains will be returned home as per his request, where a private ash spreading ceremony will take place followed by a Celebration of Life.
