I certainly echo all the kind words about Dale mentioned here.

I was lucky enough to meet Dale as well Dana and Dru while living at 28th & Ocean for years.

Having lived in CO since 2000, I hadn’t ventured back to the beach for a while. But a few years ago Dale and I got together for a day in Hermosa to swap stories and reinforce our friendship.

I can’t tell you how happy I am that we both made that happen.

See you again Dale, in the Great Beyond.

Dale and I were great friends from 6th through 8th grade. Our favorite pass time together was fishing down in Redondo Beach. His sister Dru and his brother Dana were also my friends at that time and it was fun to hang out with his family. We lost touch after Dale and his family moved to a different city in the early 1970's, but re-connected on Facebook around 2011. I always remember him as a vibrant fun-loving person with a great sense of humor. He will certainly be missed.

I was so sad to hear of Dale's passing. He and I were very good friends in elementary school before I moved away part way through 6th grade. Even then, we stayed in touch for a while and then reconnected in the 80's. I always liked Dale and his entire family. When mine was falling apart, Dale and everyone in his family were very nice to me. Sad to see you go, my friend.

So sorry to hear of Dale's passing. You all may remember me as Richard Skaff. My name was changed to Reek Havok by a band I joined in the early 1980s.

We'd been trying to get together with Dale and with a couple of other Victor Elementary school buddies for a while but had a hard time setting anything up. I'm sorry I hadn't seen him in many years.

Dale and I met in elementary school. I used to hang out at his wonderful home in Torrance. His brother Dana would play with us frequently as well. Dale's mother and father were very nice to me and even picked me up from Manhattan Beach a couple of times, as I moved mid-way through the 6th grade.

I really like Dale, it was a smart, funny and great person.

Dale was very athletic. He was good at whatever he did: skateboarding, bicycling, motorcycling, surfing & water-skiing. He was an excellent contractor. But he loved acting.
