Dalbert always loved to reply to my posts regarding Church Musician posts, stating that he was ready to go with his TAMBOURINE!! I miss him!!
My dad came to visit me in Orlando because he wanted to meet "this guy you're getting serious with" and his "bonus grandkids". But he had a full week of of quality time with friends who lived in the area (lunch at City Walk) and family. We went to Ice Bar on Wednesday night, a place he's been wanting to go to for years where you have to rent a parka and gloves to enter. He loved it. And Thursday night before he passed, he had a ball with his "bonus grandkids" as I cooked dinner for him. One was a pretend chef, and the other a mechanic fixing a school bus. It was very entertaining to him

I was blessed to meet Dalbert through a mutual friend/client. His expertise and ability to make every deal work, no matter the obstacles thrown in the way, always impressed me. His patience with my first-time buyers and their onslaught of questions and calls, Dalbert never seemed bothered and took the time to explain and guide them in the right direction. He always brought a smile to my face when he answered my calls with his ā€œIt’s Dalbertā€ greeting. I was honored (and a little nervous) when Dalbert entrusted me to find Gordan and his beautiful family home in South Florida in one of the craziest markets. Your loss saddens my heart, and my thoughts are with you. Someone so special can never be forgotten.

What a remarkable man. No matter who he was with or where he would go Dalbert was a light beam. I am going to miss you my friend, you made a great impact in my life. "Maya Angelou once wrote ,I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did but people will never forget how you made them feel"; Dalbert was one of those people who always made people feel loved and welcomeĀ

I’m going to miss Dalbert for so many reasons, but most of all for his greeting ā€œHi my beloved cousinā€. That sent a warm feeling through my heart whether he said those words verbally or in a text. Rest well my beloved cousin.Ā 
Dalbert, my New Jersey Friend, we attended church together, he would teach the new member's class.Ā  Dalbert was the greatest Chef; he would bake me a special "7UP Cake".Ā  We play a special game called "wrong number". I would call and say oops, wrong number. My precious memories of a very special friend.Ā  You earned your Wings.Ā  Ā  Ā  Love JoyceĀ 

I am SO very grateful that Beloved Cousin Dalbert reached out last year to get together, after we had not seen each other for many years. We were cousins-from-afar, always hearing about each other through other beloved family members. Getting reconnected just two months ago is a miraculous gift that I will always cherish. His warm inner light shone from Kentucky to California and then to Virginia as we made family plans to connect with him and Vincent in Richmond last Christmas.

We had a grand time. Being able to experience Dalbert's loving nature, kindness, and sincerity made it one of the best holidays we could remember. And, of course, his wonderful sense of humor kept us laughing. We were all trying to figure out when we could get together again soon...

I can’t believe he’s gone. But it comforts me some to think of him now as Beloved Cousin AngelĀ  Dalbert, who showed us a beautiful way to be in the world.
