Dainell's obituary

Dainell Barton-Stokes was born on April 12, 1951 in Rochester, NY to the Late Edie Lee Kennedy & Ollie James Barton Sr.. Dainell dedicated her life to raising her son Andre’ Jamel Stokes (Wife Tracy S. Stokes) and her Niece Anita R. Bell (Husband Caleb Bell). In her latter years she took pride in caring for her mother Edie Lee Kennedy. Dainell enjoyed playing video game bejeweled to be exact, she enjoyed her oldies but goodies music, listening to her gospel music, going to the Casino with her niece (Big Della – Delanese Anderson) but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Dainell had a very sweet nature and she was a joy to be around. If you knew her you knew her crew Brenda, Donna, Hilda, and Vickie all of Rochester, NY. She retired from Delco Products-ITT-Valeo after many years of employment.

Dainell is predeceased by her mother Edie Lee Kennedy; Father Ollie James Barton Sr; Step Father Benny Kennedy; Grandmother Mary Dean; Brother James O Barton Jr; and Sister Linda Joy Barton-Anderson

She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved son and daughter in-law Andre’ & Tracy Stokes; Her beloved Niece & Nephew Anita & Caleb Bell; Eight Grandchildren; Gabriel M. Stokes, Caleb AJ Stokes, Shaddai S. Stokes and Caiden J. Stokes; Nikeruh Wiggins; Damari Iverson Lee; Chyna Iverson Lee; Melasia Moyd. Two Honorable Grandchildren Dionna R Finley; Khadijah Cathey and One Great-Grandchild Gavin Wiggins. Nine Sisters: Mary Elizabeth Griffin, Sheila Ann Griffin, Catherine Griffin; Rose Bennett; Valerie Miles; Joyce Barton; Lydia Burton; Olivia Linwood Barton-Lynch; Lenora Charles Barton-Massey; One Brother; Randy Barton Sr.; Her closest niece Delanese Anderson and a host of Great Nieces, Nephews and Dear Friends.
