Jeff's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey John Sobecki on September 5, 2025. Known affectionately as Dziadek to his Grandsons, he preferred Jeff. Born May 25, 1954, Jeff was a gift to all who knew him, leaving a lasting impression with his humor, sharp wit, and unflagging determination.
A man of simple pleasures, Jeff found joy in traveling the world with his amazing wife, working hard, spending time at the beach with his family, watching the sunset, and playing a good round of golf. A true sports enthusiast, he faithfully supported the Green Bay Packers and the USF Bulls. He also loved playing cards and chickenfoot.
Jeff had an amazing career in transportation sales as an executive for Roadway, Watkins Motor Lines and Federal Express. He loved his job, traveled a ton and enjoyed working with so many amazing people.
Jeff had a penchant for enjoying life's delicious flavors. His favorite food was Inky’s Pizza, and he loved to cool off with a refreshing glass of lemonade, a cold beer or smooth glass of scotch. His ties to his local community were strong, serving on many boards and his favorite spots being Anna Maria Island and the Grasslands Golf & Country Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Sobecki, his cherished daughter Kristen Lowers, his grandsons Camden and Brady Lowers, and his son-in-law John Lowers. The bond he shared with his brothers - Norm, Greg, and John Sobecki will always remain in their hearts. The love and laughter he shared with all will live on in their memories as they remember a life lived to its fullest.
Jeff’s legacy will continue to be a beacon of love, humor, and determination for his family and all those who were blessed to know him. His spark will forever shine brightly in the hearts of his loved ones.
