my brave and beautiful mother Cindy Hinshaw Weir passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 11:20pm.

she was 75 years young.

mom courageously endured both ovarian cancer and dementia in the last nearly four years of her life, and Sunday September 11th, night she defeated both by freeing herself of their hold.

she was an extraordinary woman, my hero, my first best friend. she was the person you could always talk to, who always had kind and compassionate advice, who could always make you smile with some dark humor or her infectious giggle.

in her lifetime she owned her own business, she assisted special needs children, was a caregiver to her own mother while holding a full time job, she traveled the world and had some of her happiest moments in her hometown of Carmel, Indiana with her best friend Carolyn. by far, her proudest achievement in life was being a mom to her two kids.

we would love to hold a joyous celebration of life for her, details to follow soon as I put that together.

the last words my mother said to me were “I love you.” and the last song I sang to her was “you are my sunshine.”

she is free from the pain and suffering she went through, and she is at peace.
