Cynthia's obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Cynthia Taylor on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Cynthia started her career at the ADA as an Assistant in the Communications department in 1987. A few years later she joined our ADPAC department where she handled all financial documents and reports for ADPAC. Most recently she has been managing the ADA House on Capitol Hill in charge of hosting fundraising events and ADA meetings.

Cynthia was very active in her church community, was an accomplished singer, and authored a children’s book. Cynthia was a caring listener and had a strong, calm presence. She brought a light to this world that will be sorely missed. Her co-workers will remember fondly her laugh, her sage advice, her brutal honesty, getting the “Cynthia look” and all the personality she brought to life and the DC office. We are comforted to know she was able to be with her family before she passed, and we know by her strong faith she was not afraid to transition to everlasting life. She is survived by her husband Johnnie, her daughter Jasmine, her son Jason, and a large extended family.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 7 at the Alexander Memorial Baptist Church in Upper Marlboro, MD from 9:30 - 11 a.m. Additional information regarding the service is pending and will be updated.

Condolences can be sent to the Taylor home at 2334 Wood Bark Lane, Suitland, MD 20746
