My deepest condolences  to my cousins Leeroy and Lorna.    My Grandma Mavis and  Aunty Cynthia  are 1st generation cousins.  Aunty Cynthia was a name and a person I heard of even before we finally met.    She was loved and highly  respected.  I know she will be missed by her beloved children,  Grand-children,  the rest of the family and friends alike. May her soul rest peacefully in the arms of  sweet Jesus and may her legacy  live on forevermore.

I have known Auntie Cynthia for most of my adult life. It started when I was a relatively young wife and mother.   I met her for the first time when I was about 23 or 24 years old.  Clinton was away in Japan and the rest of us went to Canada for a wedding...might have been Wells's wedding but not sure.  Over the years I remember seeing her whenever we went to Canada. She was always the same...kind and loving and never made me feel like an in-law! When Lorna was a teen even she came to visit us. She and Thais are good cousins until this day.  One day Clinton had to leave me and go be with Jesus after 35 years of marriage.  My sweet cousin called me every week for 3 years to keep me afloat as we prayed and praised the Lord.  I thank God for my sister in Christ.  I have no worries. I know she is in a better place and her life and her works speak for her.  Blessings and peace.

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah!  That's what Auntie Cynthia must be singing right now.   To Lorna and her family...God bless and keep you by His Love and Grace in these days ahead.  Always remember what she wanted more than anything...everyone know the Lord and accept Him while there is still time.  Celebrate her life...a life well lived in Christ. God has so graciously created memories.  As time goes on good, comforting and loving memories will take their places in a secret special place in your heart to be cherished and sustaining.   There they will replace the sense of  grief with more and more moments of joy and peace.

Remember always the parting words Jesus spoke to His disciples in John 14:1-4..."Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

I love you all.  I am here for you.  In the Name of Jesus.        Sheryl Hill Harris

I am heartbroken but rejoice that Auntie has gone on to be with the Lord in heaven.  Auntie Cynthia was as loving as she was kind.  She supported me relentlessly during the passing of my own father, and taught me about unwavering faith.   I’ll miss her stories, explaining our family tree and teaching me our history.  She was spunky, funny and always gave me a good joke.  Auntie, you will be missed, we’re greatly loved and I will smile when I think of you.

In loving memory of Ms. Cynthia Senior,

The world has dimmed with the loss of a vibrant and loving soul. Ms. Cynthia's open arms and generous spirit touched our lives deeply. When my family and I arrived in Ajax, strangers in a new place, it was through my dear friend Lorna, her daughter, that we found a warm and welcoming home.

Ms. Cynth embraced us as if we were her own, introducing us to her faith by taking us to church. Together, we created beautiful memories, from the Magna family fun day in Vaughn and the joy of Canada Place, to the adventures at Wasaga Beach and connecting with my mother when she came to live with us in Canada. You were unstoppable…always on the go in your little blue SUV. A strong and independent Jamaican woman who held her own and brought a taste of Jamaica to Canada with her incredible fried fish, reminding us of the island we love.

Even when we returned to Jamaica, the connection remained strong. Mike and I, Sebastian, Benjamin, and Julian spent cherished moments with her and Alicia at her beautiful seaside home, Docs on the Bay, in Treasure Beach. Her unwavering love and hospitality made us always feel truly at home.

Ms. Cynth, your vibrant personality and boundless love will be greatly missed. We thank you for welcoming us into your life and for the love you shared with Lorna, Ryan, and Alicia. They, in turn, supported and cherished you till the very end.

May you find eternal peace, knowing that you ran an incredible race and left an indelible mark in our hearts.

With heartfelt gratitude and love,

Nicki

I'm so sorry for the loss of Auntie Cynthia. A few memories of my Auntie Cynthia to share. I was one and a half years old when my grandparents took me into their home. Auntie Cynthia was someone who took care of me until I was seven years old. She was always kind and loving to me. Another memory I have of her in later years was spending time with her in Jamaica in 2012. We had a good time together. I got her roast fish and bammie and she cooked beef soup for the family, we really had a good time. I have many more memories of my Auntie Cynthia that I will always remember but now I must say Rest in peace my aunt.

My Condolences to Leeroy, Lorna and the rest of the Senior family. I have many fond memories of your mom from our time together at Bibleway (Innes Ave.). She was an inspiration to me growing up and I hope that you are comforted by the memories of the love that you shared.
