Cynthia's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Cynthia Kretchmer on July 20, 2024. She was born on March 11, 1957. Cynthia was a beloved mother, wife, and grandmother who filled our lives with joy, wisdom, and love.

She is survived by her husband of many years, Randy Kretchmer. Cynthia was a proud mother of 6 children  all of whom survive her; Laure Knight, Koreena Henry, Trisha Henry (David), Bobby Jo Higgins, Sissie Higgins, and her son, Randall Higgins II (Stacy).

Cynthia adored her grandchildren and was a pivotal figure in their lives. She leaves behind Ricky Knight II, Emily Riley, Lisa Wiley, Jillian Wiley, Justin Robbins, Taylor Robbins, Gage Higgins, William Fox, Michele Higgins, and Randall Higgins III. Cynthia also is survived by her beautiful great grandchildren. 

Cynthia was the cherished daughter of Todd Lashley and the loving sister to Susan Buechley (Tim)and Debra Young (Bill) , who continue to carry forward her spirit. She was predeceased by her Pops, Wayne Lashley, and her nieces, Michele Reed and Amy Young.

Cynthia was an avid reader who found great joy in the world of books. She was a wonderful storyteller, regaling her family with tales both whimsical and profound. Her laughter was a common sound at the bingo hall and she was known for her love of the casinos, where she would spend hours enjoying the games.

Cynthia touched many lives with her kindness and warmth. She leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity. Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
