Cynthia's obituary

After a difficult battle with COPD, Cynthia "Cyndee" Garcia passed away peacefully on October 18, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Carthage, MO to Julia (Garcia) Brown, and Ray Atencio Garcia (Viola) Cynthia was described as a bundle of love. Cynthia was passionate about giving back from a very young age and participated in managing recovery homes, children’s homes and, in home nurse assisting over the years. In 1977 Cynthia  met James in San Francisco and, immediately fell in love. They went on to 1983 years and, had 2 (7) children together.

Cynthia was a fiercely dedicated/tenacious/strong/loyal/ independent mother, raising two (7) equally dedicated/tenacious/strong/loyal/ independent children & grandchildren. Cynthia was our biggest cheerleader and our constant supporter. Our family would not be where it is today if we didn’t have Cynthia as a mother.

Cynthia was predeceased by her mother Julia, father Ray, sister Jenny, bonus Mom Viola Garcia (Ray) & two grands Shana Malone & Jamahl Mackey Jr. She leaves behind all who loved her. Family services will be held at Westhaven Memorial Home in Jackson on 11/5 at 3:00 pm.
