Cynthia "Cyndy" H. Nelson

April 8, 1956 – February 12, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cynthia "Cyndy" H. Nelson, who left this world on February 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Cyndy was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend, whose warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Married to her husband, John Robert Nelson, for over 40 years, Cyndy built a life centered around love, laughter, and family. She was a proud and devoted mother to her daughters, Jessica (married to Matt Fedderly), Stephanie, and Emily (married to Wills Dowd). Her love extended beyond people to her beloved dog, Nellie, who was always by her side.

Cyndy had a deep passion for music, travel, and food, finding joy in exploring new places, experiencing different cuisines, and creating lifelong memories with her loved ones. Whether it was singing along to her favorite songs, planning her next adventure, discovering a new favorite dish, or simply spending time with her family, she embraced life with enthusiasm and an open heart.

Her absence leaves an immeasurable void, but her legacy of love and joy will live on in the hearts of those she cherished most. A celebration of Cyndy’s life will be held at Unionville Presbyterian Church on Friday, February 21 at 2:00 pm, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to LaMancha Animal Rescue in Cyndy’s honor.

Cyndy’s laughter, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
