In loving memory of our Father, grandfather and great grandfather
Curvin Luther Eisenhart Was called home to Glory on March 6th, 2023 at 3:50 AM. Although our hearts are heavy from the loss of such a great man, we cannot help but celebrate that he is "together again" with the love of his life, Iva Jean Eisenhart to whom he was married to for 68 years before her passing In December 2018. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Terri "Eisenhart" Grove, and Cindy Eisenhart.
Buck, or Ike, as he was known by many, was a proud U.S Army veteran, who served in Germany as a Military Policemen, during the occupation of Germany from 1952 until he was honorabley discharged in 1954. He stayed in touch with his Army buddy, Joe Disanto, of New York, until his passing.
"Pap" spent many years of his life sharing his love of ww2 history with his grandchildren. He was employed by the Carpenters Union Local 431 for over 41 years and shared his skills as a master carpenter with his son in law, Bruce.
He loved life itself an took full advantage of everything it offered him. He was a member of St.Mathew's Luthern Church in York, and later in life enjoyed spending his late nights with David Jeremiah on you tube. His hobbies included fishing, building and flying model aircraft with the York R/C club, pencil drawing, gardening, baking, canning, vice grip garage, NASCAR( go Denny Hamlin!) He even raced stock cars when he was younger, and built his own homebuilt aircraft, a Baby Ace.
Music was the third love of his life, next to his love of God and family,. He spent many nights out on the town playing his guitar along with his "blue grass buddies", he shared this talent with many of the local retirement communities where he was a proud performer.
Curvin is survived by his two daughters, Terri Grove and her husband Bruce, and Cindy Eisenhart, Three Grandchildren, Robert Grove and his wife Kimberley, Gwen Stricker and her husband Ron, and Steven Gentzler, two great grandsons, Andrew Grove and his fiancé , Taylor Newcomer, and Joseph Grove. As well as his cherished caregiver, Laura. His departure from Earth has left a void in all of our hearts. He was a shining example of how to live and what a strong family should be. Even with our sadness, we rejoice that he is again home with his Jeannie
