Curtis's obituary
Curtis Dovenbarger, a beloved husband, smart and caring man, passed away on March 10, 2023. He was 58 years old. Born in Zanesville, Ohio on March 7, 1965, Curtis lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Curtis was a skilled plumber, and after a long and successful career, he retired and carried his strong work ethic into his personal life. He was always ready to lend a hand to those in need and was well-known for his problem-solving abilities.
Curtis was an outdoorsman at heart, and he found great joy in his hobbies of fishing and camping. He was happiest when he was surrounded by nature and the people he loved. Those who knew him would agree that Curtis was a great man and his infectious laughter, quick wit, and kindness will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patty Dovenbarger. Throughout their years together, Curtis and Patty shared many wonderful memories and their bond grew stronger with each passing day. Patty will forever treasure the moments they spent camping under the stars, laughing by the campfire, and fishing side by side. He was a wonderful father to Curtis Lee Dovenbarger , and Donald James Dovenbarger. Curtis will be remembered for his warm, caring nature, and the positive impact he had on those who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his presence.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a nature conservancy in Curtis's name. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Curtis's life, his love for the outdoors, and the countless ways in which he enriched the lives of those around him.
