Curtis embodied the spiritual qualities of his beloved hummingbirds… expressing joy and teaching us to drink deeply from the sweet nectars of life. The Quechua Medicine People of the Andes in Peru, honor Siwar Qenti, Royal Hummingbird, who sits on the right shoulder of the Supreme Deity, Wiraqocha.

I will always be honored that Curtis embraced my music and collaborated with me to share it with our students,  When you see a hummingbird, say hello to Curtis who is surely hovering over us from the heavenly realm.

Mr. Brown was the ideal educator. He was always welcoming, asked about our weekends, and had the best ideas. He also guided me as a younger teacher, so I could navigate through the process much easier. Mr. Brown always brought fun to the classroom, such as crazy sock day, and knew fun ways to engage his students, such as giving the kids peppermints on exam days to help them focus. He really was a strong and passionate leader in our school community, and he will be dearly missed.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Brown, a beloved teacher who touched the lives of so many in our school community. His kindness, dedication, and passion for teaching left a lasting impact on every student he taught. Mr. Brown will be remembered not only for his commitment to education but for the warmth and compassion he shared with everyone around him. He will be missed dearly, but his legacy will continue to inspire us all.
