Curt Tracy Dare, age 50, passed away on September 17, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on March 23, 1975, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Curt's life was a journey of resilience, faith, and transformation.
Curt was the beloved son of Addie Eileen Dare and Curtis Lee Dare, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted sisters, Michelle Cisarik and Dawn Rippe (Will), who stood by him through life’s many chapters. He is also survived by 3 nieces, 3 nephews as well as 4 great-nieces and 6 great-nephews.
A man of deep Christian faith, Curt found strength and purpose through his spiritual journey. He was a long-time member of Emmaus Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Bend, Indiana, where he nurtured his relationship with God and built lasting friendships. In more recent years, he became an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Louisville, Kentucky. His church communities were a source of great joy and support for him; the friendships he formed there were among the blessings he cherished most.
Curt faced significant challenges earlier in life but met them with courage and determination. In recent years, he overcame those obstacles and embraced a new path grounded in service and healing. He became a certified counselor—a role that allowed him to give back to others with empathy born from personal experience. Through this work and his unwavering faith, Curt found fulfillment and purpose.
His story is one of redemption and hope—a testament to the power of perseverance and belief. Those who knew Curt will remember his sincerity, his commitment to helping others through their own struggles, and the peace he found in his later years.
