Cullen's obituary

Cullen went home to be with Our Lord on October 19, 2025. Cullen was born at Portsmouth Naval Hospital on August 10, 1971 to his loving parents, Joyce Sherman and Raymond Darling.

Cullen was an intelligent, quickwitted, fun, loving, caring, giving, funny, patriotic man of many interests and talents. He was an idea man and a myth buster who wasn’t afraid of hard work or helping others in need. He had many interests. Cullen loved his family and friends, the outdoors, fishing, guns, knives, woodworking, trucks, boats, hunting, and music. Cullen loved the holidays and celebrating with his family. Cullen was like a kid at Christmas and was always in charge of carving the Thanksgiving turkey with his late grandfather‘s carving knife every year. Cullen loved to laugh and make others laugh.

Cullen started working as a teen delivering newspapers and loading hay on a farm. He then worked at Captain George’s as a bus boy. After graduating high school, Cullen joined the army and gladly served his country for four years, after which he used his G.I. bill to get his education in finance. He worked in pressure washer sales and service, had his own insurance company, sold plastic lumber, and pursued and continued to develop his career in finance.

Cullen is survived by much family who loved him and will greatly miss him.

His parents-  Joyce Sherman and Ray and Ann Darling.

His siblings- Kathy (m. Joe), Richie, Ramie (m. Katie), Kris, Leane (m. Jesse) and Laura.

His nieces and nephews- Christie (m. Carlos), Brandy (m. Justin), Mason, Corbin, Cora, Maylin , Ramie Jr, Kris Jr and Owen.

His great nieces and nephews- Layna, Jay, Felicity and Charlotte.

His aunts and uncles- Uncle Ward and Aunt Vickie, Aunt Dee and Uncle Tom, Aunt Susie and Uncle Brian, Aunt Carolyn and Uncle John.

And his cousins-  Cynthia (m.  Charles) Sally (m. Mark), Tommy (m. Lisa), Scott, Easton, Jennifer, and Caitlin (m. Adam).

WE WILL MISS YOU CULLEN EVERYDAY!

Romans 8:38-39

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
