I was running out to the bus to go to a track meet my freshman year, and I ran into this girl.. she said your Calais right, and I said yes, Whats up? Thinking I was so cool lol.. she said well I’m kathias friend Crystal she told you about me.. I said, oh yeah Uhg What’s up.. she said well, I was wondering maybe if I could get your number, I said Uhg yes.. you can but I don’t have a pen, so if you can remember it than you can have it, she said.. yes! I will remember, I gave her my number and she smiled, so big and said my number out loud &, I said.. I gotta run I’m leaving for a track meet but call me.. and she said don’t worry I will! Beginning of an amazing journey for us both.. the first person I ever loved and I still have love for today..

I am saddened to hear of Crystals passing. I am her Great Aunt Eva & remember when she was born.  She was such a beautiful baby girl & grew up as such not only beautiful  on the outside but inside as well. At family holidays my daughter Elizabeth would love to hold her & entertain her as if she was a doll. Coming from a large family unfortunately we never got together as wish we could have.  Reading all the memories has brightened my day knowing what a special person she was & how much she enjoyed life even with her AE. She will do great things from above.

I did not know Crystal personally but I and many others came across her last tiktok… I hoped with all my heart she would make a full recovery and was very saddened to find out she passed. My thoughts are with her family. I’m so sorry you are going through this…

Crystal and I were so good at teaming up together and pulling pranks on my mom. This one time, we were parked near the river and we all climb into Crystals suv, ( crystal and I had already discussed what we were going to do ) My mom was the last one to climb in and buckle up......there was a large pile off gravel in front of the vehicle, Crystal backs up....then puts it back in to drive and revs the engine...my mom begins paying attention to what could be happening...crystal guns it forward HAHAHA.....of course we stopped before the huge  medium sized mountain of gravel, my mom was freaking out so bad! Crystal and I were laughing so hard we were crying.  My mom said, I never know what you girls are going to do! It was seriously soooo funny. Unfortunately Crystal and I were forced to quit hanging out starting March of 2020 due to the covid pandemic. We both wanted to be safe and not catch it. Makes me angry that she caught it with all her precautions. But i’m thankful to have our memories ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕

I keep having this funny memory of crystal… she was so excited to ride my horse but I was not big enough to throw a saddle on her so I out the bridal on got on bareback and had crystal climb the fence and jump on behind me… she was probably only like 6-8 years old  and we barely left the fence when she started to slide off… well she clearly was a natural at horse back riding because she grabbed my very long hair as if it were the horses mane and as she slid to the ground I’m yelling “ let go of my hair ouch ouch” as I’m slowing but siding off and finally she hits the ground but she so caught in the moment of trying to stay on the horse she is actually trying to climb up my hair back on to the horse!! 😂😂😂 finally I give in fall off the horse right on top of her!! I do. It believe we attempted to ride together after that one… o decided she was better off sitting on the hose by herself so I could catch her….  This story keeps reminding me of her attitude in life!! She knows she hit the ground but she will keep on climbing with humor and empathy for eveyone around her all while trying to make the best of her own situation…  she used to ask me when she was a. Wet young adults… “sing me a song?” And I would and it coulda sounded awful but I would. Ever known because she was just thankful that I was willing to sing for a minute… she always complimented the song even of just because she thought it was brave of me to do even if it was awful. I haven’t spent much time with my bay cousin in recent years but o was so blessed to be a key part of her whole childhood and that is a gift that I will cherish for the rest of my life! I love you so much crustal and I envision you are already making the angels laugh in heaven!! You are probably already complimenting them each on a job well done! You are at the feet of Jesus worshiping in in a way we cannot understand… you are pain free burden free a d in complete Adoration and Peace!  You lifted others up and put others before yourself yet never lost sight of yourself and THAT is truly such a beautiful gift from the Lord… we will never forget  

One of my latest memories of Crystal is…. I had an ulcer on my leg that got very infected so she took me to the ER, which was a 60 mile drive. Crystal always seemed to find humor in every situation.  I was sitting in the wheelchair being wheeled to the hospital from the parking lot.  We were on a hill and all of the sudden her voice sounded far away and I looked back and saw that she was about six feet behind me!  I was rolling down the hill.  I started hollering and of course she ran up and caught me.  Crystal always had a way of taking a serious situation and making me laugh.

I was blessed to have a cousin who was also one of my best friends. I am so happy to have all of our Summer of 2019 memories. We had so much fun.  So many adventures. I treasure Crystal very much, we were always there for each other when it always counted in more ways than most will ever know.  She was the most courageous woman I have ever known . Crystal had a very  contagious laugh and could spin a joke outta  nowhere . I will always love and miss her.  Forever I will reflect on our conversations and will have her voice in the back of my head encouraging  me to be strong. I love you Crystal and miss you greatly.
