Crescintia's obituary

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Crescintia Careen (Lake) on Wednesday, January 7th at the age of 77 years. Born on July 1st, 1943, she is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Elizabeth, as well as her husband Charlie Careen.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Sandra (Anthony), grandchildren Corina (Lyndon) and Josh, her step-daughter Connie and four grandchildren Michael (Jeff), Leighanne (Barrie), Lesley and Cassie, as well as many other loved ones who hold her dear to their hearts.

Chris was a strong woman who has overcome a great deal in her life. Many knew her for her witty jokes and the ability to tell a story and have the whole room laughing. She gave the best fight she could when she found out she had cancer one year ago, and her family and friends can take comfort knowing that she lived a happy life and is at peace now that she is reunited with Charlie.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no funeral arrangements at this time. We will keep everyone informed as to when we can properly celebrate the life of the woman we all love dearly. Please feel free to pay your respects or leave any memories you have with Chris as we can look back at this page and always remember her.

“No more suffering, it’s time to rest.”
