Craig Todd Skutca, at the age of 51, passed away on January 19, 2020 in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. He was born in Austin, Texas on August 23, 1968.

Craig was a person with a heart of gold. He was always there for whoever needed him and would go above and beyond to help them. Craig grew up in his younger years on the family farm in Blessing and later moved to Markham. At that time he attended Tidehaven High School and spent the rest of his time farming with his father. Craig and his father harvested milo and cotton for many years together. He also worked for Triangle Construction and spent time traveling the states as he worked building distribution centers for large companies. Craig’s final employment for the past several years was working as a Mechanic and Welder for Titan Tire International Company in Des Moines, Iowa.

Craig moved to Iowa to be near his children, Rogan and Liam Skutca. There was one thing Craig was the most proud of and that was his kids; he always said they were his greatest accomplishment in life. He enjoyed going to their soccer games and just spending free time with them.

If someone knew Craig, they knew he was the life of the party and brought joy wherever he went. He lived 1,000 years in the 51 calendar years he spent with us because he lived life to the fullest and made his own path. Craig is survived by his parents, Walter and Evelyn Skutca; 3 sons, Rogan Skutca, Liam Skutca, and Joseph Quinney; former wife, Bryna Perkins; and a host of friends that turned into family.

Craig will be fondly remembered by his friends and family as a loving father, hard worker, caring son, and a lifelong friend. Friends & family are invited to his memorial service at the Blessing Community Center on Saturday, April 4 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to S.P.J.S.T. Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hillje, Texas in the name of “Walter Skutca”.
