Craig's obituary
Obituary
Craig Kermit Nordvall went to Heaven peacefully on February 7, 2025. Born on October 3, 1946, in Duluth, MN, Craig lived a full and adventurous life. Although he battled dementia in the later part of his journey, he never lost his joy for every moment and person God put in his life.
Craig will be immensely missed by his two sons, Jacob (Jessica) Nordvall and Joshua Nordvall; four grandchildren, Esther, Callahan, Osmund, and Fitzgerald Nordvall; and his wife, Susan Nordvall. He was a devoted family man, and he considered fatherhood among his greatest accomplishments.
The resounding theme of Craig’s life was his love of Christ. His faith guided him throughout his life and showed in his everyday actions. He loved going to church and held his faith close to his heart.
Known for his fun, loving, and mischievous personality, Craig had a zest for life that was inspiring. He was an avid painter and explorer of the North Shore, always seeking out God’s beauty and tranquility in the world around him.
Craig's most valuable lesson - you do what is right, no matter the cost - is a testament to his moral compass and integrity. His legacy of unwavering faith and profound love for family will continue to inspire all those who knew him.
We will miss him until we see him again, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all those blessed enough to have known him. As we mourn this loss, we also celebrate the life of a truly remarkable man.
Please join us for a Memorial Service to honor Craig on Friday 2/14/25 at 11:00am at River Valley Church- Crosstown Campus. We will have Craig’s favorite—coffee and donuts— and sandwiches immediately following the service.
