Craig's obituary
Craig Alexander Hall
2/13/1975-12/28/2024
Craig Alexander Hall was born in Seattle WA, February 13, 1975, the son of the late Donald Oliver Hall and Nancy Darlene Hall. He grew up in Kirkland, WA. He attended elementary grade school in Seattle at a school for the deaf, as he was born with a profound hearing loss. He eventually transferred into the local public schools, graduating from Lake Washington High School, class of 1993.
As a young man he became known for his passion of small engine repair. Evidence of his brilliance showed up as early as four years old, when he was seen disassembling a toy clock, laying out each screw, spring, and gear side by side on the swing set seat. That toy never made it back together but was one of his first lessons on the inner workings of machines. At around 11 years old, a neighbor gave Craig a crusty lawnmower that wouldn’t start. After some tinkering he got it up and running and the neighbor then asked to buy it back from him. He continued to refine his craft always in search of another project to take on, eventually repairing cars, boat engines & various types of lawn equipment.
Craig loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, boating, skiing, and riding motorcycles as well. He was quite the dare devil and often pulled off amazing feats, jumping bikes, and popping wheelies among other stunts. After watching several ski videos, one snowy winter day, he decided to ski-jump off the roof of our family home and stuck the landing on the hill in our front yard – much to everyone’s shock! He approached life with an abundance of adventure and confidence.
Unfortunately, due to complications after a losing battle with addiction, Craig passed away officially on 12/28/2024. He has now entered eternity and is in the presence of the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Oliver Hall on 4/11/2015 and his mother, Nancy Darlene Hall on 2/15/2023. Craig was survived by his siblings, Rebecca Wilson, Westley Hall (Spouse, Beth) Andrew Hall, and his cousin Matthew Hall, (Spouse, Jennifer) as well as nieces and nephews and many dear friends. A Celebration of life gathering will be held at a future date -yet to be determined for friends and family.
