When I met Cory back in grade 3, it was at a time when I didn't make friends easily but we did become good friends. We may not have hung out every day but the friendship never faded. As we grew older, we ran in different circles but any time we met up at a party (or when he would pick me up hitching home late at night), it was like we hadn't missed a day. I always admired Cory for his charisma and his ease at meeting people and getting them to open up to him; that is probably why he was such a great salesman. The last time I saw Cory was probably 10 years ago or so. He was back in the island for a bit and we hung out reminiscing about old times and catching up with each other.

The next I heard form him he was back on the mainland making a name for himself selling gas contracts. I had just gotten into sales for the first time in my life and I remember telling him how much I worked for every sale and how natural he seemed to be on closing.

It always made me happy to see him post pics of the stack of contract he closed as I knew he was in his element doing what he enjoyed. I was absolutely overjoyed when I saw that he had opened the doors to Xenergy. Between that and marrying Sarah, was like him winning the lottery.

The last message I sent to him was congratulations on getting approved for his new house.

It seems to be getting pretty dusty in here as I write this so I will just say I miss you buddy, and thank you for being my friend.

Scott.
