Remembering Cory brings a flood of heartfelt and fun memories. One being his love for babies. Whenever there were CG babies around, I had to be quick because once Cory got his hands on them, he wouldn't let go! He'd joke, suggesting I grab a bite at the table so he could sneak in some extra cuddle time with the little ones. It was always easier to get Annie from Betsy, Caroline and Nathan than from Cory. We all know that says a lot.

Another memory of Cory in cold months is when I would jokingly ask if there would be chili at the next CG gathering. Cory would always have the perfect comeback, such as, 'There are apples in the fridge,' leaving me smiling. His sense of humor and kindness made it easy to joke around.

He is a baby whisperer! He calmed my son Aurelio down and continued to hold him so peacefully. What a calming presence in a room even a fussy baby could feel his steady way.

Cory loved babies. Here he is with my brand new niece, Bertie.
So sorry for your loss. Cory was the consummate professional with a wonderfully dry sense of humor.  Wish I had known him longer.
Carrie Love
2016, The Mount Sinai Hospital, NYC
In our first year after getting married, Faizan had an incredibly scary illness, landing him in the hospital for emergency surgery. During his 2 week recovery at Mt. Sinai, Cory became a regular early morning visitor - usually long before I got there in the morning. Faizan and Cory were not really close at this time, but the extension of the friendship and family-ness of Cory's love was so moving to us both. Faizan described just laying in his room in the wee morning hours waiting for me to show up and seeing Cory come through the door to sit and have coffee and a breakfast, offering a kind heart and quiet companionship. Usually he'd be on his way to work before I arrived, so he wasn't even trying to connect with me - just extending his kindness and patient presence to "our" newest family member in a lonely and scary time. We love you.
