I met Cortney in 1991 by way of Tim.  He had gone to Spring Break and we were talking about it.  This is the first time my "smarter than anyone else", "practical", "linear thinker" stumbled in the best way possible...He fell in Love.  He tried to be rational and say "we"ll see , she's way down in SLO".  I knew he was gone.  I had the joy of watching their love blossom.  

Tim, I love you and you take that Spring Break with you wherever you go.  

Courtney was also the only person that was allowed to let my 50lb pitbull sit on the couch because I could never say no to Cortney's smile.

NYC! 10 days with Cortney. We…
NYC! 10 days with Cortney. We spent 7 in the city and 3 at Tim’s family’s beach house on Fire Island. My mom Diana and my host mother from Germany Gaby Happe joined us. Such a special time! Cort and my mom now home in heaven. Love you both and miss you!

Cortney was such a beautiful part of my life! So many amazing memories! She brought so much laughter to my life. Cortney moved away after High School but we always made the effort to keep in touch whether it was Cal Poly, NYC, Santa Monica or Pasadena we made it happen. She was like a sister to me and I will miss her greatly! Much love to John, Tim, James and Ellen you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My favorite memory of Cortney goes back to about 1984. Cortney was babysitting me & Tierney at their house in Fresno. I loved sleeping over and having her babysit us. I remember she would do our make up and she let us stay up late to watch Purple Rain the movie which was a really big deal. When the song ‘Jungle Love’ came on we would dance and go crazy. To this day I still think of her when I hear that song. She was always energetic, funny, caring and a beautiful & smart woman. She had an amazing contagious laugh that could put a smile on your face instantly. Cort you will always be in my heart and are dearly missed, may you Rest In Peace.
