Cort was a valued colleague at  Cornell. The athletes loved him and always came calling for the Sports Dude. He taught my daughter tbe intracacies of cameras and photography. His photos are some of my most prized possessions. He and Regina served  the best pancake breakfasts. It was a priviledge to know him.

Given in memory of my brother…

Given in memory of my brother Cortland Bassett
Deeply saddened to learn of Cort's passing. He was a valued co-worker at Cornell and a friendly presence in all circumstances. I respected and enjoyed his photography greatly. I am grateful to have known him.

I am so sorry to hear about Cort's passing. He paved the way for  my sports medicine career, for which I will always be thankful .   It was always good to spend time on the sidelines with him or get out cross country skiing.   He was an amazing photographer and great colleague.
I am so very sorry to hear of Cort's death. He was a dear friend of my father, Matt Kemen.  Cort was a brilliant photographer and a wonderful friend. I am happy that he will be with Genie.
I’m so sorry to hear of Cort’s passing.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  I was recently looking at the photo album Cort made for Rick’s retirement.  He was always so thoughtful!  Margie LaFrance

My brother Cort did many selfless acts throughout his life. More than once, he stopped at an accident and administered CPR to save a life. Almost 25 years ago, Cort gave me one of his kidneys to save my life. I'll miss our annual Kidney Day celebration this year on May 4th. We celebrated 24 years together.

He was a terrific big brother. I am very sad to see him go.
