Corry's obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the untimely passing of Mr. Corry Drennon, aged 45, on September 25, 2025. Born on February 5, 1980, Corry was a beacon of light for those around him, always demonstrating a charming, funny, and loving personality.
Corry was a proud graduate of Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, which laid the foundation for the tenacity and resilience he demonstrated throughout his life. His passion for old school R&B often provided an uplifting soundtrack to family gatherings, and whether it was a game of the New York Giants or a casual conversation, Corry always drew people in with his infectious enthusiasm.
As an attendee of the Walter Hill Baptist Church, Corry's faith served as his guidepost and offered him comfort. He was an avid lover of nature. Fishing and riding motorcycles were among his favorite recreational activities, enabling him to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Yet, it was his love for family and friends, which he regarded as his principal cause, that truly encapsulated Corry's generous spirit.
Corry leaves behind his loving mother, Lula Crawford, and his brothers, Michael Mann Jr., Carlos Drennon, and Corbitt Crawford. He joins his father, Gary Drennon, his grandmother, Mary Crawford, and his grandfather, Thomas Crawford, in eternal rest. Mourning his loss yet celebrating his life are his countless friends and family members, whose lives were all the richer for having known him.
In the wake of his loss, we remember Corry's life lesson of always seizing the moment, a mantra he lived by every day. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched and the moments he made special simply by being himself.
