Corrine's obituary
On the 27th of August, 2025, we mourn the loss of Corrine "Coco" Scott. Born on the 18th of January, 1951, Corrine lived a life abundantly filled with love, laughter, and kindness. Her warm, safe, and bubbly personality touched everyone she met and left an indelible mark on their hearts. As she enters the gates of heaven, her resilience, faith, and family-oriented nature continue to inspire all who knew her.
Corrine is survived by her daughters Linda, Elaine, and Ethel Mae Scott. She left a significant imprint on her granddaughters Mariell Jordan and Corrine Madison, and her grandson Dazon Jordan. Her sister, Theresa Scott, and brothers, Kelly and Jerry Scott, remember her fondly. Coco is predeceased by her parents Ethel Scott and Leon Wilson, and her sibling Diane Scott. Her light continues to shine brightly through the love she has left behind.
During her life, Corrine cherished her family and held them close. Her home was always filled with the sounds of her favorite Michael Jackson tunes and the inviting aroma of her favorite foods—pork skins, sunflower seeds, and pork chops. You could often find her with an ice-cold Pepsi in hand, enjoying episodes of Sanford and Sons, Goodtimes, and Grey's Anatomy. How Stella Got Her Groove Back was her movie of choice, and she cheered passionately for the Chicago Bears.
In her leisure time, Corrine loved to go fishing and found immense joy in cruises. As an advocate for her favorite cause, family, she believed deeply in the principles of kindness and trust in God. Her favorite color purple was a symbol of her vibrant and loving personality.
Corrine has left behind a beautiful legacy of love which will continue to resonate through the generations. Her life lessons of kindness and trust in God will forever remain as guiding lights for her family and friends. Corrine may have departed this world physically, but her spirit and ideals live on, enriching the lives of all those she has touched.
