Corinne's obituary
With deep sorrow and gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Corinne Will—affectionately known as “Sissy”—a woman of grace, strength, selflessness, and endless love. Born on August 13, 1955, Sissy died peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 28, 2026.
Sissy’s memory is carried on through her loving family, including her devoted husband, Paul Will; her beloved children, Carrie, Andy, Edward, and Jackson Will; her treasured grandsons, Grafton, Charles, and Leopold Will; her sister, Edie Fink; and her brother, Chris Blair. She now joins her predeceased parents, Carl and Mary Ann Blair, and her siblings, Buddy Blair and Anne Clauss, in God’s loving embrace.
Sissy met the love of her life, Paul Will, in 1969 in the neighborhood where they both grew up, and they married in 1982. An alumnus of Washington College, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English in 1977, laying the foundation for a long and meaningful career as a court clerk, editor, and author. Sissy found beauty in the written word and shared her heart with the world through her 2013 novel, Counting Miracles—a title that also served as a guiding philosophy for her life.
Her greatest story, however, was the calling of motherhood. Sissy was a deeply devoted and caring mother whose children always came first. With unwavering selflessness, she passed her passions—for literature, music, games, and lifelong learning—on to her children and husband. She filled her home with love, laughter, and simple joys: endless card games, lively discussions about books, word games, and crossword puzzles. Sissy also held a special love for Hatteras Island, where she created cherished memories with family and friends throughout her life.
A devout Catholic and woman of steadfast faith, Sissy lived her values daily. She taught those around her to live well, love deeply, and serve others before themselves. She always took the time to “count the miracles,” finding gratitude and grace in both the extraordinary and the everyday.
Sissy's warmth and enduring spirit touched all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, to honor Sissy's generosity the family is raising funds for the COPD Foundation. Those wishing to make a donation in her name can visit: https://everloved.com/life-of…
Even as we mourn her loss, we celebrate Sissy’s life with full and grateful hearts. Her legacy is one of love, faith, and a life richly lived. Though her story is finished here, the chapters she wrote in our hearts will be read forever.
Rest in peace, Sissy.
